Dr. Clarise Hairston Ottley

A forward thinker, Dr. Clarise Ottley has spent more than half of her life encouraging people to see situations from a different perspective. People often say the atmosphere changes for the better when she walks into a room.

As a young adult, she majored in Psychology, learning to better understand the layered and multiple nuances in people. In addition to a career in nursing, Dr. Ottley led women’s ministry for two decades. The 2021 Gallup poll ranked nurses as the most trusted profession in honesty and ethical standards. Dr. Ottley is honored to be part of the most respected profession.

Her personal life is filled with her sons, their wives/significant others, and her grandchildren. A source of joy and contentment, her lively family played an integral part in her healing after the sudden, unexpected death of her husband. Married for 38 years, Clarise and Al built a home and a life together.

Whether working or spending time with family and friends, Dr. Ottley sings, dances, plays board games, and laughs easily.

She thanks God for all of her blessings, for they are too numerous to count!
